The product identification number is located on the bottom of the mug as indicated in the red circle shown above.

The products were sold online (including by Stanley 1913 and Amazon) and by various retailers during the time of 2016 through 2024.

Why is this Product Dangerous?

Stanley 1913 recently announced a lid recall of select Switchback and Trigger Action Travel Mugs (see the list above) because the lid threads can shrink when exposed to heat and torque causing the lid to detach during use, posing a burn hazard.

Remedies for Consumers

Stanley 1913 is offering a free replacement lid that will work with the existing product. Consumers will be asked to provide photographs of their travel mug, the product identification number and to dispose of the original lid.
